Specifications
GIRtech FORGE – is a special high-density heavy duty firebrick which are used for masonry and lining, steel-pouring complexes, ladles for melting metals, forges as well as various heating units, including household stoves.
Heavy Duty firebrick can be used in any type of domestic and industrial heating units, such as brick fireplaces, steel furnaces, heating stoves, barbecues and barbecue complexes, ceramics kilns, melting ladles and blacksmith forges. Refractory masonry must be done on a fireclay/alumina mortar, for example GIRtech CONTACT-40 or GIRtech CONTACT Drymix. Before performing work, it is necessary to moisten the contact surface with some water. It is not recommended to use cement mixes as a masonry mortar.
GIRtech FORGE could be cutted or processed with a special tool if necessary.
This product could be used in industrial units where contact between the refractory lining and molten metals is possible.
